Delete your Watchbill account

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and personal data from Watchbill, the security-workforce app published byVST Inc.. It applies to the Watchbill guard and command mobile apps and the Watchbill web app.

Watchbill is a workplace tool: your account is created and managed by your employer (the security company you work for), not by you. Because of that, account deletion is coordinated with your employer, and some records created during your work are the employer's business records — seewhat is deleted and what is kept below.

How to request deletion

  1. Email us athello@getwatchbill.comfrom the email address on your account, with the subject "Account deletion request — Watchbill". Tell us your name and the company (employer) you work for so we can locate your account.
  2. Or ask your employer's Watchbill administrator to remove your account — they can do this directly from their Watchbill account.

We verify that the request comes from the account holder (or the account's employer), then process it as described below. If you email us, we'll confirm when the deletion is complete.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted when we process your request:

  • Your profile and account information — name, email, phone number, role, and login credentials.
  • Your device push-notification tokens and device/diagnostic identifiers.
  • Certifications and personal details attached to your profile.

Kept as your employer's business records:

  • Operational records you created or that document your work — time-clock events, checkpoint scans, patrol stops, incident and daily-activity reports and their attachments, pass-downs, tasks, and messages.

These belong to your employer's Watchbill account, not to your personal profile. Some — incident reports in particular — carry legal retention requirements, so they are retained for the life of your employer's account even after your personal profile is removed. Where possible, these records are disassociated from your contact details. When the employer's account itself closes, its data is deleted or returned to the employer per the subscription agreement.

Retention period

  • Personal account data (the "Deleted" list above) is removed from active systems within 30 days of a verified request.
  • Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup cycle, within 90 days.
  • Operational/business records (the "Kept" list above) are retained for the life of your employer's Watchbill account, plus any period required by law or the subscription agreement.
